Biography
Marjorie (Margie) Durhman and Amanda Durhman co-own Design Partners (DP), and have more than 35 years of combined professional experience in graphic design and photography. DP's mission is to assist their clients in meeting their objectives by creating effective high quality visuals, taking into account each client’s style, audience and needs. DP’s clients include small and large organizations consisting of for-profit companies and non-profit entities.
Margie earned her bachelors degree from St. Cloud State University in Fine Art, Advertising, and Speech Pathology. She acquired her corporate graphic design experience during nearly 25 years of employment with the world’s largest and highly respected medical art department at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She has co-owned and operated Design Partners of Stiehm & Durhman for the past 5 years. In addition to Best Buy and Mayo Clinic, their firm produces work for retail, church, university, and non-profit organizations. Margie is a licensed inventor and graphic design award winner. She has continued her professional education through advanced courses offered by KW Computer Training, Inc. and the Minnesota Science Museum.
Amanda is a Moorhead State University (MSU) graduate with a double major in Mass Communications Photography and Fine Art Photography. MSU enjoys a reputation for providing several National Geographic photographers their formal training which is what attracted Amanda to this university. Amanda also gained further experience through extended internships under Mayo Clinic Photography staff and Mayo Medical Laboratories. Additionally, she has taken advanced courses through KW Computer Training, Inc. For the last 5 years Amanda has co-owned Design Partners. She is responsible for photo production and photography for the company. This role has taken her throughout the USA and abroad for on-location photo shoots. A proficient studio photographer, she is also trained in 360 degree photography. In addition to corporate and product photography, she handles wedding and senior portrait projects for Design Partners.
